Scholarships and Financial Aid

MOScholars is Missouri’s K-12 scholarship program. Catholic schools in the Diocese qualify for MOScholars through the Bright Futures Fund, which awarded $7 million in scholarships to Catholic school students last year.

2 Ways to Qualify:

1: Students with an IEP or ISP

Students with an approved IEP ‘individualized education plan’ developed under Federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) or an individual service plan (ISP) that is developed in cooperation with a local education agency under IDEA, specifically those provisions pertaining to parentally placed private school children found in 20 U.S. Code 1412 (a) (10) and 34 CFR 300(b).*

*Any IEP or ISP that is proferred for program eligibility must be dated within the last 12 months of the date of the student’s application to the program. Students with ISPs that are not developed under IDEA are not eligible.

2: New Catholic School Students

To qualify, your student must meet one or more of the state designated criteria. Scholarships are verified by F.A.C.T.S, granted in order according to state rules and based on available funding.

• Siblings of current MOScholars recipients

• Attended a public school as a full time student for at least one semester during the previous twelve (12) months.

• Are eligible to begin kindergarten or first grade

All applicants must live in a household whose total annual income does not exceed 300% of the free and reduced lunch rate. Income eligibility guidelines are determined annually by the federal government. You can find that information in the chart below:
